Aluminium Alloy - LM25
One of the greatest benefits of selecting LM25 is the strength that can be achieved in the heat treated condition but heat treatment cannot normally be used on high pressure die castings, meaning that LM25 is most commonly used for gravity or sand casting.
This alloy conforms to BS 1490:1988 LM25. Castings are standardised in the cast (M) condition, the precipitation treated (TE) condition, the solution treated and stabilised (TB7) condition and the fully heat treated (TF) condition.
